Dr. Joseph Lopez received his Bachelors of Science degree from Pan American University in Edinburg, Texas. He later went on to receive his medical degree from the Texas A&M University in College Station and completed a Fellowship Program at the Faculty Development Center of Texas in Waco, Texas. Currently, Dr. Lopez is pursing an Executive Masters of Business Administration from the University of Texas San Antonio.

Dr. Lopez is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Bexar County Medical Society, Mexican American Physician Association, and Texas Medical Association. Most recently, Dr. Lopez served as the P&T Committee Chairman at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital. He also has experience as a Physician Panel Presenter for the Medical Hispanic Center of Excellence at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

Dr. Lopez lends his expertise to the Madison High School Football Team as the Team Doctor. During his spare time, Dr. Lopez enjoys woodworking the outdoors, and spending time with his wife and three children.
